Logistics for LGA & JFK

New York City has two airports located in its city limits: LaGuardia (LGA) and John F. Kennedy (JFK).

Below are instructions on how to get to the Belvedere Hotel from the airport.

MTA

You will need a metrocard for all buses and subways (trains). They accept cash and cards. Each ride is $2.75 so get enough value on your card for all people in your group. The system only allows up to 3 swipes on a card so you will need more than one card if you have 4 + people in your group. Children under 44" ride for free up to 3 children. Cost of first card is $5.50 - cost of card and two swipes. You will need to reload at a kiosk if you plan on using it more than getting in/out of the city.

Transfers - One free transfer, when you take either a bus or the train and need to transfer to a bus or a train.

Car Service

If you want to gain mileage with Delta, register your Lyft account with Delta and use Lyft to get into the city and get mileage points.

Otherwise, use Uber, yellow taxi or

Golden Horse 718.762.8888, 718.359.6666.

Cost varies on time of day:

LGA - $40+

JFK - $70+

Laguardia (LGA)

Closest and easiest airport. It may cost more but you will not have to pay $70+ each way by car service and 1.5-3 hours to get into the city if flying into JFK.

Mass transit - There is no subway at the airport only the bus. To take the bus and the subway, you will need a metrocard. There is a metrocard kiosk at the bus stop. Take the M60 bus to the downtown C train on 125th St. Tell the bus driver that vou need to take the A or C train downtown and the driver will announce it. Take the C (blue) to 50th St. Go west to 9th Ave and walk on the east side of 9th. Turn left onto 48th. The hotel is on the north side of 48th. If you take the A train (express), stay towards the back of the train so when you get off at 42nd St, you are closer to the Belvedere Hotel area, which is 48th St. You can pay with $2.75 of coins and ask for a transfer ticket to take the train.

Shuttle - There is 42nd St. shuttle. It will drop you off at Port Authority on 42nd St. Walk up 8th

Ave to 48th and go west (left)

John F. Kennedy (FK)

Not the best choice to get in/out of the city. There is an A train + cost of AirTrain shuttle from JFK but that will take about 1.5-3 hours as well and a long walk so not advisable to guests who are elderly or have issues walking Mass transit.

AirTrain JFK - train shuttle from JFK to Howard Beach or Jamaica Station.

You can only buy the AirTrain shuttle metrocard at JFK and will need one for the ride back. The AirTrain is a separate fare from the normal MTA trains.

Take the AirTrain to Howard Beach and take the C (blue) to 48 St. Exit using the South side. A/C train (A train is the express). Stay towards the front of the train so when you get off at 42nd St, you are closer to the Belvedere Hotel area, which is 48th St.
